If you are evaluating Approval Manager or using the free Approval Manager Express, you can download the installation wizard by following the download link in your email.

Do you have your license?
If you have purchased Approval Manager, please log in to your account to retrieve your license. If you are evaluating Approval Manager or using the free Approval Manager Express, your license is sent to you via email.

Do you have administrator access on the machine on which you will install Approval Manager?
In order to install Approval Manager, you'll have to run the installer a user with administrative privileges on the computer on which it is being installed.

Do you know what MS SQL Server version you will use?
Purchased and trial versions of Approval Manager can use Express or full editions of MS SQL Server 2005/2008. Approval Manager Express Edition will only run on MS SQL Server 2005/2008 Express Edition.

MS SQL Server 2005 Express Edition can be installed through the Approval Manager installation wizard.

If you're going to use an instance of MS SQL Server already installed in your environment, you'll need the 'sa' password to complete the installation. Alternatively, if you have the Approval Manager installation wizard install MS SQL Server 2005 Express Edition, you'll be able to define your 'sa' password during installation.

Do you meet the requirements to install?
The Approval Manager installation wizard will perform a series of checks to make sure your system meets the installation requirements. If it detects that a component of your system does not meet a minimum requirement, it will notify you.
